Overview
Finishing decides how long a component survives in service, so we treat it as a process with limits rather than a cosmetic operation. Line-side finishing at Brightwater and Calder Ridge covers the high-volume work; specialized chemistries run through a qualified supplier panel we audit annually.
Coating thickness is measured on every lot and recorded against the lot number. Adhesion, salt spray, and cure verification run to the schedule written in the control plan.
For weldments, blasting profile and coating system are specified together — a coating is only as good as the surface it was applied to.
